We protect the habitat of our local wild cats
Did you know we have bobcats and mountain lions at Cowboy Cat Ranch?
Not living inside with our domestic cats, but they are part of our beautiful wildlife in Texas.
The ongoing expansion of the human population is not a good thing for wild animals and their habitats.

Many cats enjoy the smell of Tatarian honeysuckle wood
On this video you can see one of the cats at Cowboy Cat Ranch, Vlinder, love her piece of Tatarian honeysuckle wood.
Most of us are familiar with catnip and how cats like this plant.
Did you know there are more plants that cats love? Silver vine and Tatarian honeysuckle for example.
Cats who do not enjoy catnip may like these other plants.
We've been studying the response of cats to these plants for many years. Read all about it here, here and here.
We love art and have worked with several fantastic artists
This is a painting of Cowboy made by Dora Hathazi Mendes. Cowboy art is for sale here (all money is for the artist).
We've commissioned art for our scientific publications as well. Vicky Earl made botanical illustrations of cat-attracting plants for our article in BMC Biology. Lili Chin made drawings of cats enjoying the smell of cat-attracting plants for our work in Frontiers for Young Minds.
