cat book club

We read a book (or watch a movie) about cats, and we meet and talk about it. Everyone is welcome to join! It's a free, online event, once every season.

During one of our weekly science meetings to discuss progress on a research project, one of our volunteer scientists—somewhat out of the blue—suggested we should read the book We'll Prescribe You a Cat from Syou Ishida. This turned out to be a brilliant suggestion and the idea of a cat book club was born!  

We meet once every season, via Google Meet, and we discuss a novel (fiction or non-fiction) about cats. You can either actively participate in the discussion or just lean back and listen in. Cameras can be off or on, whatever you prefer and there's no need to introduce yourself.

We will have a Cat Book Club every first Saturday in March, June, September and December. The next Cat Book Club will be on Saturday 7 June at 4 PM CT. The link to the meeting will be shared here on the day of the event.

We'll be talking about The Cat Who Came In off the Roof written by the legendary Dutch writer Annie M. G. Schmidt. This book is also suitable for older children. At the end of the meeting we will pick a book for the next meeting.
