It is incredibly important for the health of your cat that they feel safe and have spots, often high up, where they can retreat and still feel safe when strangers (humans or other animals) come into their house. Cat trees are fantastic furniture to fulfill these natural needs of our feline friends. Here you will see photographs of all the cat trees at Cowboy Cat Ranch. All of these cat trees are well suitable for big domestic cats. We never buy the flimsy ones; the ones where companies only show kittens in their cat tree to make it look bigger than it really is.

We feel confident that we are qualified to accurately evaluate these cat trees since we have purchased 43 cat trees in the past 10 years, and all but one are still being used by our cats. Kitty Mansions is a company in California that makes (well, made in China for them and imported) and sells cat trees since 2007. When the founders of Cowboy Cat Ranch were still living in Riverside, CA, they had the pleasure to visit their showroom in Ontario, CA. Kitty Mansions sells high quality cat trees, small to huge. Unfortunately, the last few years the quality of their customer service has declined significantly and sadly their assortment has decreased substantially as well. We truly hope this will change for the better soon, because they have the potential to be the best cat tree company in the world. They currently still are our favorite cat tree company, but this is largely due to lack of alternatives. We have asked them several times for an interview, but they never responded to our request.

Cat Tree King sells small to enormous cat trees. The bigger ones are extremely, perhaps excessively sturdy. The smaller cat trees sometimes are quite wobbly, because they are so heavy but lack a wide base that it needs for support. Their products are outrageously expensive, often sold out, and we have not had good customer service experiences this company. We left a three stars review on their website for one of the cat trees we had purchased, but they never shared it on their website. This is extremely concerning. We did not receive a response to our email where we raised this concern.

Frisco sells smaller, cheaper cat trees with thinner posts, but at least a couple of them are still quite sturdy and good quality. They have a bad website. It is slow and it is nearly impossible to find the XXL Heavy Duty cat tree, which is an excellent cat tree (see below)! When you follow their menu to Trees, Condos & Scratchers you will not find it. However, when you search for cat tree you will. Frisco cat trees are also sold by Chewy.

The Refined Feline sells classy-looking, modern cat furniture, not necessarily with the best interest of the cat in mind. Its price range is high and the amount of cat tree per dollar low.

Petco sells cat trees from New Cat Condos. These solid wood cat trees are heavy and quite sturdy and the wood is covered with carpet and sisal rope. They are typically good value for money, and most cats appreciate them.

We do not recommend cat trees from other companies.
